She Maroons FC have officially announced the signing of prolific forward Lillian Mutuuzo on a two-year deal. The 23-year-old Ugandan international joins the club from South Sudan’s Yei Joint Star, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a strong goal-scoring record.
This strategic transfer marks a significant step for the club as they look to strengthen their offense. Coach Maxwell Okello expressed his excitement, stating, “Lillian’s talent will be a major asset to our attack. Her signing is a great start to our pre-season and shows our ambition for the upcoming season.”
Mutuuzo is no stranger to success, having previously played a key role in Kampala Queens FC’s historic 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League title win.
Her proven track record and experience with the Uganda Crested Cranes national team make her a valuable addition to the She Maroons squad.
This signing is particularly crucial for She Maroons, who struggled offensively last season, finishing 9th in the league and narrowly avoiding relegation.
With only 14 goals scored in the previous campaign, the club hopes that Mutuuzo’s arrival will provide the much-needed firepower to climb the league table and achieve their goals.
