Sommet Basketball Club kept their playoff hopes alive with a narrow 75–72 win over Victoria University Crocs in a tense on Friday night.

It was a tight contest from start to finish, but Sommet held their nerve in the final minutes to claim their 8th win of the second round and 13th overall in 20 games.

Peter Cheng and Fataki Nyembo led the charge with 20 and 21 points, respectively. Cheng added 10 rebounds to complete a vital double-double, anchoring the team at both ends.

The Crocs battled hard and stayed in it thanks to big performances from David Mayom (17 points, 12 rebounds), Chuol Nyuot (17 points, 10 rebounds), and Erick Komagum (12 points, 10 rebounds). Their effort kept the pressure on Sommet until the end.

But with fewer games played than most teams, the Crocs are now in must-win mode to stay in the playoff hunt. Every game counts from here on out.

Meanwhile, Sommet, under Coach Albert Aciko, are finding their rhythm at just the right time. Friday’s win adds to their momentum as they push for a strong finish.
