South Sudanese natives to officiate Vipers’ bout with Bangui

The continental football custodian CAF has revealed the match officials to handle the Vipers SC’s CAF Champions League Preliminary round second leg with Olympic Real De Bangui.

Ring Nyier Akech Malong will be in charge of the much anticipated encounter, along with fellow countrymen, Gasim Madir and Robert Henry on either flank.

Alier Micheal James, who is also a South Sudanese native, will be the fourth official, while Rwanda’s Alexis Redamptus Nshimiyimana will be the match commissioner.

Meanwhile, Bugingo Apollo Ahimbisibwe, a Ugandan will be the Covid-19 Officer for the continental showdown.

The Venoms hold a 3-0 tie advantage, but will be keen on sealing the deal on Saturday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The eventual winner after the two legs will progress to the first round, where they will take on giants TP Mazembe.
