Ugandan sprinter Tarsis Orogot has qualified for the 200m semi-finals at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Orogot, a student at the University of Alabama, clocked an impressive 20.44 seconds in his heat on Wednesday, finishing fourth.
Orogot will face a tough field in the semi-finals, including Noah Lyles of the United States, Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, Erriyon Knighton of the United States, Andre de Grasse of Canada, and Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain.

Orogot is the first Ugandan to compete in the 200m event at the World Championships since Davis Kamoga in 1997.
He was also the thirteenth-fastest competitor in the 200m event during the 2022 championships in Oregon.
Orogot will be looking to improve on his performance in the semi-finals and make it to the final.
He has the potential to be a podium finisher, and he will be hoping to make his mark on the world stage.
