Ssentamu inspires Kyadondo to Masaza Cup opening win

Tournament debutant Sudais Ssentamu became a significant figure from booing to a hero.

Ssentamu came of to replace Star player Isaac Ssenyunja in 78th minute started with a wrong placed free kick causing boos and left in fans.

Four minutes later the young star turned in a hero with a Magnificent tap in from Joseph Monday low cross to make the game 1-0.

In the a post match conference Ssentamu stated: “I entered I took a free kick the boos from fans I heard them as inspirations, I always do that but it refused we played and scored”

Now Kyadondo under Medy Nyanzi have registered three straight wins over Bulemeezi.

In post match Nyanzi said; “Being the first game we felt a little pressure but we managed to win the game, It has been a good game we started with our senior player later adjusted to hungry players and they won us a game.”

On the young player, Nyanzi said: “We are working on him and we are getting him at a right time.”

Kyadondo lifetime Manager Joseph Mugisha called fans to add on vibe and discipline. “We are glad to win our first match, I thank our fans for coming for in a big number, I call on them add on vibe and on discipline.”

The game was graced by the Buganda Masaza cup Organizing committee Hajji Sulaiman Ssejjengo, Hamz chief executive officer Hamis Kiggundu and other top coaches.

The Masaza cup tournament shall commence of Sunday, June 29th with five games as Busujju hosts Busiro, Mawokota against Buwekula, Bugerere against Buvuma, Kyaggwe against Kooki and Mawogola against Butambala.
