Tornado Bee Cricket Club cemented sixth place with a game to spare after beating third-placed JACC by 79 runs in the UCA Men’s 50 Overs Cricket National League at the Jinja SS Cricket Oval on Sunday.

Simon Ssesazi was the star, carrying his bat for a brilliant 110 off 134 balls. His patient knock, decorated with eight fours and two sixes, anchored Tornado Bee to 237 for 4 in 50 overs.

He was well supported by Anas Baig, who lit up the innings with a rapid 69 off 45, including five fours and four sixes.

JACC’s chase never took off. Despite Patel Abhay’s 65 off 94, wickets tumbled regularly. Cyrus Kibukamusoke was ruthless with the ball, tearing through the middle and lower order to claim 5 for 18 in just six overs.

Munir Ismail added 2 for 37, while Aziz Abdul Tandia kept things tight with 1 for 35 as JACC were bowled out for 158 in the 44th over.

The win keeps Tornado Bee settled in sixth, while JACC remain third despite the loss. The other scheduled game between Kutchi Tigers CC and Aboojo CC was abandoned.
