Ssese shocks Gomba as Busiro picks a late draw against defending champions Buddu

Ssese, with ten men, defeated record champions Gomba 1-0 as Busiro came from a goal down to draw 1-1 in the Masaza Cup.

In the game played at Kabulasoke the home of Gomba, ahad Bukenya scored in the second half to put Gomba on sword for a second game of the tournament.

In the first game, Gomba was beaten by Buddu 1-0 living the record champions in critical condition.

At Sentema Ssaza ground Busiro scored late through Eric Wubuzibu in the last minute to level Buddu who scored through Muhammad Kazibwe in the 23 minute.

Midfield Dynamo Nicholas Jjonga of Buddu was named the man of the match unanimously. “I am happy for accolade though we failed to win the game but a point is also good,” said Jjonga.

In other games Buluuli drawn 1-1 with Busujju at St Lawrence Migyera.

Buddu and Busujju are now jointly on top of the Bulange group with four after two games of the group.

In Muganzirwazza Kooki fought from a goal behind to beat Mawogola 2-1 with Junior Lusaggi and Hassan Waiswa scoring for Kooki while Patrick Kirabo scoring for Mawogola.

Ssingo and Kyaggwe played a barren draw at Mityana Ssaza ground, Bulemeezi drown 0-0 with Mawokota while Buwekula also got held by Bugerere 0-0.
