Defending champions St. Lawrence University edged Jinja Lions BSC 3-2 to retain the title in a thrilling final at FUFA Technical Centre Beach Soccer Arena, Njeru.
Brian Nkuubi, Baker Lukooya and Ronald Magwali scored the three important goals for St. Lawrence University, while Herbert Onyango and Shaka Ssozi were on target for Jinja Lions BSC.
St. Lawrence University had a dominant season, thrashing MS Sand Lions 8-1 in the semifinals, while Jinja Lions BSC defeated Mutoola BSC 4-6 in their last four clash.
Nicholas Mwere of Jinja Lions BSC won the golden boot scoring 36 goals, while Julius Sseguya of Jinja Lions BSC was named the best goalkeeper.
Ivan Kulika of Jinja Lions BSC won the best coach award.
St. Lawrence University’s Brian Nkuubi was awarded the best player of the season (MVP).
Mutoola BSC won the Fair Play award.
