The stage is set for the much-anticipated Uganda Cup quarterfinal draws, which will be held on Monday, April 7 at Kansai Plascon Offices in the Industrial Area.

With only eight teams remaining in Uganda’s most prestigious knockout tournament, tension is mounting as clubs await their next challenge in the race for silverware.

Among the teams eagerly awaiting the draw are defending champions Kitara FC who fought past Gaddafi FC in the Round of 16. With their eyes on retaining the title, Kitara will be hoping for a favorable draw as they inch closer to another final.

KCCA FC, the record holders of the Uganda Cup, also secured their place in the last eight after brushing aside Rwenzori Lions. The Kasasiro Boys, known for their cup pedigree, will be aiming to add yet another trophy to their rich history.

The quarterfinals also feature two FUFA Big League sides, Kataka FC and Kaaro Karungi both of whom pulled off stunning upsets against Uganda Premier League teams.

Kataka shocked URA FC while Kaaro Karungi knocked out UPDF FC proving that the magic of the cup is still alive. Their presence adds an unpredictable twist to the upcoming draw.

Meanwhile, former Uganda Cup winners BUL FC put on a ruthless display, hammering Total FC 7-0 in the Round of 16. Their dominant performance signals a strong intent to reclaim the trophy.

The remaining teams in the competition include SC Villa, Vipers SC and Police FC all of whom bring experience, quality, and determination to the quarterfinals.

As the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup unfolds, excitement continues to build. Co-sponsored by Plascon Uganda, the tournament remains a crucial platform for young players to showcase their talent and for lower league teams to challenge the giants of Ugandan football.
