Stone City 7s: Timothy Kisiga inspires Pirates to victory

The Stanbic Black Pirates have been crowned Stone City 7s champions after beating KOBs 19-07.

The Kampala Old Boys started in high gear, going 7-0 ahead through a converted Pius Ogena Try. Pirates playmaker Timothy Kisiga was quick to react and put the side on the scoreboard with a try.

Kisiga was again through pushing the Pirates ahead 12-07 before the break.

Speedster Arnold Atukunda got in on the action in the second half, getting a try of his own to ensure the Pirates were triumphant, winning 19-07.

The Lady Cranes came from behind to win 19-07 against their academy side, to claim the Stone City 7s crown for the ladies.

The Pirates take a series lead, into next weekend, for the northern edition of the Sevens in Kitgum.
