Over the past weekend, rugby lovers and well-wishers united against the Breast Cancer scourge in a pink-themed beach touch rugby tournament.
With lots of sand kicked into new spots and locations, Team Housing Finance emerged as the day’s winner.
The main goal of the tournament was to promote social interaction through touch rugby among the community in a fun-filled environment while addressing societal challenges.
There was no better way to kick off the month of October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, than to gather in numbers to raise awareness and funds to support the various institutions tackling the cancer.
“Our goal is to raise awareness of breast cancer signs and symptoms through education and improve breast screening services’ uptake rates by encouraging healthier lifestyles,” confessed Regina Lunyolo, the leader of the organising team.
