Cricket Cranes will miss the services of captain Brian Masaba as they go for their second win today at 2:40pm in the ongoing T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

Masaba who missed yesterday’s game against Hong Kong broke his finger during practice according to news coming in from Zimbabwe.

“His tournament is over unfortunately. But the catch seemed like a simple thing but he woke up in the morning when its swollen,” Uganda Cricket Association head of communications Denis Musali told Nnalubaale Sports.

Cranes face Papua New Guinea today before taking on Netherlands this Thursday as they target a place in the semis and by press time, a reserve player was in transit.

Kenneth Waiswa is the man holding the skipper responsibilities on his shoulders and he will be eyeing to lead the side to a second victory.

On a slow Bulawayo wicket yesterday, it was sweet revenge for the Pearl of Africa over Hong Kong in a two wickets win.

Hong Kong beat Uganda by six wickets at last month’s Challenge League B game played at Kyambogo Cricket Grounds.
