Team Uganda will tee off on Tuesday at Windsor Golf & Country Club in Nairobi, ready to take on Africaโs best at the 2026 All Africa Junior Team Championship.
The 14-nation tournament will be played on the tough 7,100-yard Windsor course, known for punishing mistakes.
Accuracy off the tee will be key, especially with recent rains expected to leave the course even more demanding.
Uganda heads into the event with confidence. All players have competed at this level before, and the mood in camp is positive ahead of Mondayโs official practice round.
The team faces strong opposition from Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Zimbabwe and others, but belief remains high.
Captain Peter Mayende leads the boysโ team after impressing at the Victoria Cup in Entebbe.

He is joined by Antony Otukei, Kariisa Shaka Ndyabahika and Rugumambaju John Paul.
On the girlsโ side, Racheal Natukunda, Elizabeth Kawalya and Keisha Kagoro will represent Uganda led by Coach Flavia Namakula and Team Manager Paul Habyarimana.
The championship will be played over 54 holes in stroke play format. Each day, the best three scores count for the boys, and the best two for the girls. Players will compete without caddies, putting more responsibility on their decision-making.
The event also serves as a qualifier for the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan later this year.
Uganda Golf Union President Dr Jackson Were is expected to join the team in Nairobi for meetings with golf officials.
