Soroti, Eastern Uganda – Excitement is brewing as Teso College Aloet prepares to host the 2024 USSSA National Ball Games Championship.

On July 8th, 2024, the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) conducted a busy evening, drawing qualified schools into groups for the various competitions.

Netball Takes Center Stage at Diverse Championship

This year’s Ball Games 2 boasts a variety of sports, including Netball, Volleyball, Handball, Basketball 3×3, and Rugby 7s. However, Netball reigns supreme, drawing the most attention at the Championship.

80 Netball Teams Vie for Glory

The much-anticipated Netball competition features 80 participating schools divided into eight pools of ten teams each. Defending champions, St. Mary’s Boarding School Kitende, and other top performers from the 2023 Western Uganda championship were seeded and placed at the top slot in each pool.

Championship Kicks Off on July 9th

The Championship kicks off on July 9th, 2024, with team reporting, and continues until July 18th. Get ready for ten days of thrilling competition!
