The game got off to a lively start as BUL wasted no time in making their presence felt. In just the 10th minute, Martin Aprem fired the hosts into the lead, setting the tone for a high-energy encounter.

URA, however, remained composed and found an equalizer just before halftime. With five minutes left in the opening half, Laban Tibita calmly slotted home inside the box after being set up by Ivan Ahimbisibwe, ensuring the visitors went into the break level at 1-1.

The second half saw both sides pushing for the winning goal, but the game remained tightly contested. BUL came close in the 78th minute when they earned a free kick on the left, but URA goalkeeper Rodgers Omedwa produced a brilliant tip-off save to deny them.

Just when it seemed like the game was heading for a draw, BUL found a way through. In the 90th minute, Lawrence Tezikya struck at the death, sending the home crowd into wild celebrations. His late winner secured BUL’s ninth victory of the season and kept their strong campaign alive.

With this crucial win, BUL moved up to third place on the table with 35 points, firmly in the title race. Meanwhile, URA remained in fifth with 30 points, missing a chance to close the gap on the top teams.

Elsewhere in the League, Henry Kitegenyi salvaged a point for Mbarara City in Hoima after Patrick Henry Kaddu had put Kitara ahead early in the second half.

For SC Villa, the Jogoos secured an important away win at Kavumba with goals from Aslam Ssemakula, Charles Lwanga, and Patrick Jonah Kakande. Nelson Ssenkatuka scored Bright Stars’ only goal.

On the other side, second-placed NEC maintained their chase for the title with a convincing 3-1 victory over Maroons in Luzira.

EnocK Ssebagala and Paul Mucureezi gave the visitors an early lead before Rogers Kiwanuka pulled one back. However, Emmanuel Ajo restored NEC’s two-goal advantage before halftime to seal the win.
