- Event: 3rd Discovery Uganda Run

Over the years, Kapchorwa has produced a number of global athletics stars that have held Uganda’s flag high namely Moses Kipsiro, Peruth Chemutai, Boniface Kiprop, Joshua Cheptegei, Steven Kiprotich, Jacob Kiplimo, among others.
With clear statements both verbally and physically one can tell that these athletes have never forgotten their roots, tracking back to train with the upcoming and young athletes, motivating them as role models and Common Wealth double Gold medalist Kiplimo is no exception as his the brain behind Discovery Uganda run.
With over 1500 participants expected to grace the third edition, the annual Discovery Uganda which is set to take place at Kapchorwa Boma Grounds in Kapchorwa
This race categories are divided into two categories the Off Road or Trail Race which will be run on Friday, 17th December 2025 and the Road Race the day after.
The Trail Race will accommodate only seniors, both Men and Women, it also attracts a hefty Cash Prize secured by Kiplimo for all excelling athletes.
With 4.5 million at stake on day one, the lead runner in first spot will take home 1.1 million, second – 750,000 UGX, third- 380,000 UGX among the other positions respectively.
Clouded with a 25 million cash prize on the day, the Road Race on the other side, will hold both Seniors and Juniors relays.
The Seniors (Men/Women) from 1st to 7th position will each be rewarded with a cash prize just like the Juniors who will compete in School Races in U-12 and U-15 categories.

- 6th – 360,000 UGX
- 7th – 180,000 UGX
Juniors (Men/ Women)
- 1st – 1.8 M
- 2nd – 900,000 UGX
- 3rd – 720,000 UGX
- 4th – 540,000 UGX
- 5th – 360,000 UGX
Registration and collection of Bibs for the different races is set to happen at Rosa Camp Kapchorwa.
However, on race days, reporting for athletes is set to start at 6 am with the first race expected to pace off at 8 am.
