Timothy Thok was the star of the show as Rezlife Saints overcame Ndejje University Angels in their first win since joining the National Basketball League.
The newbies needed overtime to win 90-88 at the MTN Arena, Lugogo with Thok managing a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds.
On a memorable evening, Thok’s teammate Emmanuel Okot also put up a double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds.
Richard Anyunva and Micheal Otieno also managed double figures with 15 and 11 points respectively.
Ndejje were in an early seven-point lead in the first quarter but Rezlife fought their way back to 61-57 by the end of the third quarter.
Tied at 77-77, they headed into overtime, Rezlife edged the five additional minutes 13-11 in a hugely entertaining affair.
In a losing effort, Haron Alinaitwe, Cikom Monybai, and Joseph Kumbai managed double digits of 19, 16, and 14 points for Ndejje respectively.
