The FUFA Women Elite League matchday four took place over the weekend, with the Elizabeth group taking center stage.
Tooro Queens emerged victorious in their Tooro Derby against She Geme, securing a 3-0 win and solidifying their position in the league standings.
Imelda Kasemire‘s brace and Winnie Kabugho‘s strike sealed the deserved win for Tooro Queens, propelling them to second place in the table.
Following the match, Tooro Queens’ head coach, Ayesiga Rogers, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance.
“We put in a lot of planning and preparation for this game, and I’m grateful that our strategies paid off. I’m incredibly proud of the team’s performance today. Our goal is to win as many games as possible and earn promotion back to the Super League,” he stated.
In the other Saturday fixture, Dynamic Jjeza WFC and Isra Soccer Academy played to a goalless draw, leaving both teams without a win in the league. Dynamic Jjeza sits at the bottom of the table with a single point from three games.
Sunday’s sole match saw in-form She Corporate FC edge out stubborn Gold Star HS Ladies 2-1, extending their winning streak to three games.
Spencer Nakacwa‘s penalty conversion and Apon Sharon Faith‘s strike were enough to secure victory for the Sharks, who now lead the table. Priscilla Katono scored a consolation goal for the visitors.
