Uganda’s U20 Boys Volleyball National Team, the Nile Warriors, continued their winning start at the CAVB Men’s U20 African Championship with a dramatic 3-1 victory over Algeria at the Hassan Mustafa Sports Arena on Saturday.

After a 3-0 walkover against DR Congo in their opening match, the clash with Algeria was a true test. The Nile Warriors battled back from behind in a nail-biting four-set match that ended 27-29, 23-25, 25-21, 28-26, showcasing determination.

The team is drawn in Group B alongside DR Congo, Algeria, Egypt, and Zimbabwe. With only the top three teams moving on to the U21 World Championship in Qatar, every game is crucial.

Despite how tough match was, the players showed real character and team stayed focused and came back.

Next up, the Nile Warriors will take on hosts Egypt and Zimbabwe, with both games set to be decisive in their quest for continental glory.
