Mukono side UCU Canons will be looking to extend their dominant run over D-Mark Power when the two teams meet in the National Basketball League on Friday at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.
The Canons have won all three of their previous meetings with Power, 69-45 and 66-53 last season, and a huge 85-55 victory in the first round. They will be hoping to make it four in a row.
However, UCU Canons enter today’s fray on the back of an abysmal form having registered four successive defeats.
They have suffered losses to each of KIU Titans (55-73), Ndejje Angels (82-89), Nam Blazers (47-66) and 53-57 against the UPDF Tomahawks in their most recent encounter.
Despite their recent struggles, the Canons still have a talented roster led by Jimmy Otim, Peter Sifuna, and Jerry Kayanga.
Otim is averaging 12 points per game, Sifuna is averaging 11 points per game, and Kayanga is averaging 10 points per game.
If the Canons can get their offense going, they should be able to get the win over Power on Friday.
