UCU Canons managed a 21 point difference as they comfortably dispatched off Victoria University 81-60 in the National Basketball League at YMCA Comprehensive Institute on Sunday.
It was also sweet revenge for the Mukono based side who lost the first round encounter to them. It was also UCU’s only loss in the campaign’s first part.
It was an amazing show by the Canons who had almost finished them off by the first half with 42-24.
Coach Nicholas Natuhereza’s side was inspired by a spirited Titus Lual performance. The latter managed a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Cranmer Wamala notched 15 points with John Rogers Baptist managing 12.
For Victoria University, Ronald Ayume, Mambo Kabuye, and Maker Mayen were the highest scorers with 12, 14 and 17 points respectively.
UCU moved back to the summit of the table with a 13-3 record ahead of City Oilers who have played one game less.
It’s the 13th loss for Victoria University who have won only twice in 15 games this season, with the other coming against the hapless Falcons basketball club.
