Bugema University delivered a masterclass performance on Thursday, thumping Bishop Stuart University (BSU) 4-0 in a dominant University Football League encounter at the Bugema grounds.

From the first whistle, Bugema showed intent and control, taking the lead just four minutes in through Musuk Innocent.

The hosts continued to dictate play, and two minutes before halftime, Sawa Eric doubled the advantage with a brilliant free kick that left BSU goalkeeper Mubogi Colline stranded.

Moments later, Azizi Opio made it 3-0, finishing off a swift counterattack just before the break.

Bishop Stuart pushed for a consolation in the second half but couldn’t break through Bugema’s solid defense.

Substitute Musinguzi Derrick sealed the emphatic win late on, pouncing on a defensive error to slot home the fourth.

The victory lifted Bugema University to four points, narrowing the gap to just two behind Group B leaders Muteesa I Royal University, who edged IUEA 2-1 in their midweek clash.

The University Football League takes a short two-day break before resuming on Sunday, when Soroti University hosts YMCA in another eagerly awaited fixture.
