  • Makerere University 4–0 King Ceasor University

Makerere University were in unstoppable form as they crushed King Ceasor University 4–0 in the University Football League (UFL) at the Makerere Main Ground on Thursday evening.

The win sent the Enzymes to the top of the table with six points from three games, one ahead of Kumi University and Ndejje University, who both have five.

Makerere started with intent and took just five minutes to break the deadlock when Male Musa headed in Ian Kajubi’s corner. Two minutes later, Adea Ambrose made it 2–0 after racing onto a clever through ball from Humphrey Amabe.

In-form striker Byaruhanga Isaac added a third in the 15th minute, firing home from close range for his second goal in three matches.

King Ceasor’s goalkeeper Niyonshuti worked hard to keep the score down, pulling off several saves, but his defense continued to struggle. In the 37th minute, Amabe, already with two assists, turned scorer by tapping in Ekwong Emmanuel’s cross after a defensive mix-up to seal a dominant first half.

The second half was quieter, with Makerere controlling possession and creating chances through Murungi Kelly and substitutes Ssentamu Churchill and Ekwong, though none could add to the tally.

At the other end, King Ceasor’s Faida and Nuwarinda forced two good saves from Makerere goalkeeper Kaziba, who kept his clean sheet intact.

Makerere surged to the top of the standings.
