Kyambogo University made it two wins in a row in the 2025/26 University Football League after edging Busitema University 1-0 at Kyambogo grounds on Tuesday afternoon.

In a scrappy match played at Kyambogo grounds, forward Samuel Owori was the hero of the day, heading in the lone goal in the 41st minute off a Cleopas Ayebale corner.

The game lacked fluency, with both sides struggling to control possession and often resorting to long balls.

However, Kyambogo looked more composed when it mattered, defending solidly to preserve their narrow lead.

Busitema pressed hard in the closing moments, but Kyambogo’s defense and goalkeeper stood firm to secure another home win and clean sheet.

The result lifts Kyambogo to the top of Group C with six points from two games, keeping their perfect record intact.

Elsewhere, action in the University Football League continues today as King Ceasor University hosts Uganda Christian University (UCU) at the Yes Centre Grounds in Nsambya in what promises to be another exciting duel.
