The 2025 UG20 Cricket League reaches its semi-final stage this Sunday, November 16, at the scenic Entebbe Cricket Oval.
With defending champions Wanderers and fellow finalist Rounders CC eliminated last weekend, a new champion is guaranteed, raising the stakes for every run, wicket, and fielding moment.
- First semi-final: Aboojo Vs GM Sugar (10AM)
Aboojo opens the semi-finals against league debutants GM Sugar in what promises to be a thrilling clash.
Experience versus debut-season flair will define the match.
Aboojo will lean on National team stars Joseph Baguma, Pascal Murungi, Innocent Mwebaze, and Mathew Musinguzi to lead the way.
GM Sugar will rely on their star batsman Mehulkumar Chhotubhai Patel, who has been in exceptional form this season.
While GM Sugar’s batters excel against spin, Aboojo may use seamers to exploit weaknesses, setting the stage for a tense tactical battle.
- Second semi-final: Avengers Vs Ismaili (2PM)
The afternoon semi-final sees Avengers face Ismaili in a rematch of their group-stage encounter.
Avengers topped Group C, with Ismaili finishing second, making this a high-stakes duel between familiar rivals.
Avengers’ leading run-scorer Christopher Kidega (370 runs) will go head to head with Ismaili’s top wicket-taker Ghulam Hunzai (21 wickets).
