Following successful first and second stops in Kampala and Mbarara, the Mountain Dew UG3x3 Series heads Eastern part of Uganda.
Jinja City will host the third outing of the nationwide tour that is presented by Red Rhino Sports this weekend.
This highly anticipated edition promises to be the biggest yet, showcasing top-tier basketball talent from across the region.
With each circuit attracting more teams and spectators, the Jinja tournament is set to elevate the competition further as the competition moves nationwide in search of the best talents to tussle it out in the National Finals that will be held in December.
Team Grim Reapers (Men), Team Clan (Men) and Team 3-Peat (Ladies) qualified for the grand finale from the first Kampala Circuit while Team Ntare PickUp (Men) and Mbarara University Hoopers (Ladies) qualified from the Mbarara Circuit.
The Mountain Dew UG3x3 Series is comprised of 7 qualifying stops that climax in the 8th and Final Stop in Kampala where a total of 12 men’s teams and 8 ladies’ teams will compete for a grand prize of UGX Two Million shillings in each category.
Prize money in the qualifying circuits is UGX 400,000 for the winning men and ladies teams and UGX 200,000 for the RunnerUps in both categories. In addition there are individual prizes of UGX 100,000 for the MVP, Top Scorer and Best Rebounders.
