It’s five days until Burundi hosts Uganda Cranes at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo in the CHAN Qualifiers.
On 21st December, Uganda Cranes kick-started training ahead of the game and 24 players showed up for the first season held at Hamz Stadium.
The session was much of recovery after 17 of the players were in action for their clubs in the league and head coach Paul Put explains.
“We have had our first session which is majorly on the recovery, all the players appeared in good shape to take up their chances.
“Since on the first team we can only invite a few players from here, it is their chance to impress and they are likely to do so.
“Also, I have worked with some of them on the first team and I am looking forward to working with more players so that February finds us more ready.”
Out of the 26 invited players, only Kitara FC’s Jude Ssemugabi and Express FC Sam Ssenyonjo were absentees as they are facing off in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
