Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have revealed the squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers due 22nd November in Namibia.

The team sees the return of all-rounder Riazat Ali Shah who missed the Bilateral Castle Lite Series in Namibia in July due to passport issues.

David Wabwire and Jonathan Ssebanja both retain their places in the team, but opening bowlers Juma Miyaji and Cosmos Kyewuta miss out due to injuries.

Both Pascal Murungi and Ronald Lutaya who had become regulars in the team miss out as well, so does Siraje Nsubuga.

Before traveling to Namibia for the tournament that bowls off on 22nd November, the Cricket Cranes will head first to Zimbabwe for the trial games against Zimbabwean club Takashinga as part of their preparations. The team is set to leave on Friday 10th.

The Cricket Cranes will be up against six other teams in Namibia including Zimbabwe, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and the hosts for the place in next year’s World Cup that will be co-hosted by West Indies and the United States.

Only two spots in this Qualifier are up for grabs. Uganda will get their campaign started against Tanzania on 22nd.
