In a game where much is unknown, the Plascon Mongers are making the trip from Entebbe to Kitante to take on the daring Kampani’s Eagles.

The Eagles put the big boys on notice when they subjected the Pirates to an opening-day loss. Granted, it was a second-string side, but it was still a Stanbic Black Pirates.

The Eagles had quite the year 2023. They earned promotion to the Premiership owing to their Championship playoff win against the Warriors.

They have since had extensive games against top dogs in Pirates and Buffaloes that they have used to prepare for this clash in the last 8.

Mongers were lonely at the top of their group until the last weekend of the group stages when KOBs walked into their house and claimed the win and top spot.

On paper, Mongers have an easier fixture than the other games. But we all know rugby is played on the pitch for 80 minutes or thereabouts.
