With seven Uganda Premier League sides in the mix, three match ups were expected to spark the competition and the stage is finally set.

At Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, URA FC will host 10-time winners KCCA FC. URA come in after seeing off Tapoh FC, while KCCA advanced comfortably past Onduparaka.

It’s a tight, familiar contest between two sides that know what it takes to go deep in this competition.

In another tie, regional side Happy Boyz Kagaba have been handed a home fixture against nine-time champions SC Villa.

For Kagaba, it’s a chance to measure themselves against one of the country’s biggest clubs.

2024 champions Kitara FC will host Express FC at Royal Park in Butema. Kitara are chasing their second title, but Express joint 10 time winners, bring experience and a strong cup record into the tie.

The final fixture will see NEC FC, 2024’s runners-up, host Vipers SC at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

NEC are aiming to go one step further this time, while four-time winners Vipers will be eyeing a return to the top.

Quarterfinal fixtures:

• URA FC vs KCCA FC

• Happy Boyz Kagaba vs SC Villa

• Kitara FC vs Express FC

• NEC FC vs Vipers SC

The Uganda Cup is the competition where the country’s representative (Winner) to the CAF Confederation Cup is hand picked.
