With the title defence on their mind, the Hoima side managed to collect a convincing 4-0 victory over Buganda Regional League side Young Simba in the Round of 64 at the Bombo Barracks Military Ground.

The Royals’ goals were netted by Titus Ssematimba who came up with a brace while George Ssenkaaba and Kabon Living added the others.

A Ssematimba tap-in opened the scoring just 27 minutes into the game after a great ball from Ssenkaaba who doubled the visitor’s lead four minutes into the second half off Kabon’s cross.

Ssematimba completed his brace 8 minutes past the hour mark to make it three, only for Kabon to write his name on the scoresheet.

In Garuga, Ibrahim Orit‘s second-half goal propelled BUL FC past a resilient 4th Division League Garuga Stars side.

Express FC also advanced to the Round of 32 with a slim Victory over Red Devo thanks to a first-half goal by Steven Timothy Ssenfuma.

These wins mean Kitara, BUL and Express FC join Vipers, Pakwach Young Stars and NEC who all qualified in the Round of 32 on Friday evening.

Uganda Cup action will continue on Tuesday when Pajule Lions host on-form Big League Leaders Gaddafi FC at the Pajule P/S ground in Pader while ten-time winners KCCA visit 403 Brigade FC at St Daniel Cambodi Ground.

Bright Stars will also take a short trip to Iganga to face Iganga Young FC with all games set to start at 3pm .
