2026 Uganda Cup | R32 | Wednesday February 25

  • URA FC 0(6-5)0 Blacks Power.

Norman Namanya scored the winning penalty for Uganda Revenue Authority as they prevail to round of 16 in the Uganda Cup.

In the shootouts, URA FC got the first advantage when Ronald Owinyi forced his effort over the goal on the second attempt, but Blacks Power regained hope with Martin Ssenkooto saving Godfrey Ssekibengo’s effort.

One straight penalty was taken by Fazil Rajab, converting for the visitors, and Bright Vuni scored for URA FC before Oscar Otim struck against the woodwork to hand the host a second advantage, which was taken off by Namanya.

In the normal play, both teams looked rusty, though Blacks Power’s goalie Martin Ssenkooto registered two good saves off Fred Amaku’s header from close range in the 50th minute, and Denis Kisiriko’s tap-in just two minutes before the half-hour mark.

On the other end, Crispus Kusiima denied Nathan Oloro’s flick from close range, which highlighted an eye-catching move that was solely initiated by Innocent Maduka in the 76th minute.

In the game, URA FC had slight chances with Isma Mugulusi’s curling ball that was cleared off the line by Owinyi in the 41st minute.

David Ssemuju signed off in the 68th minute with an effort against the crossbar, and few minutes later, his replacement Olimi Nyarwa again struck the woodwork. Blacks Power’s final chance was missed by Joshua Omara.
