Simba FC/Uganda Wildlife Authority Football Club extended their form by beating fellow Buganda Regional League team Seeta United by 6-0 to reach steps away from the National round of 64 in Uganda Cup.
In the game Simba FC hosted at Namulonge play ground on Sunday, December 14, Gerald Asiku scored his first goal for the club as he grabbed a brace together with hitman Robert Ssewanya.
Benson Ogwanga and Muhammad Matovu were the other players on the score sheet with a goal each, as UWA FC continued their dominance without losing to Seeta United since 2018.
As Simba FC continues to operate under Interim Coach Andrew Mugagga, on Wednesday, December 17, in the third round of the Uganda Cup Preliminary round in Buganda, they will face Nakasongola Town Council, who progressed by walkover following Kiboga United failing to turn up for the game.
While Simba FC eliminated Seeta United, another total of 15 teams progressed to the second preliminary Round in Buganda Regional, including two more that also progressed by walkover.
