Simba FC/ Uganda Wildlife Authority football Club continues to shine with a 4-0 win over Nakasongola Town Council as they progress to the Buganda Regional preliminary round of the Uganda Cup.
On Wednesday December 17, the Rangers travelled to Nakasongola R/CP/S fearlessly with a 6-0 win over fellow Buganda Regional League club Seeta United in their previous game.
To beat Nakasongola T/C, Sharpshooter Robert Ssewanyana scored a brace in the second successive game of the Uganda Cup. At the same time, Samuel Ssemugugu and Moses Kasagga added another goal to finish a 4-0 win on the road.
After sailing through the third Buganda Regional League preliminary round, on the next stage, Simba FC will host Happy Boys Kagaba at Namulonge Play Ground in Gayaza on Saturday December 20.
Happy Boys Kagaba, to reach the final preliminary round of the Uganda Cup in Buganda, they overthrew Hope Foundation winning on penalties 5-4 following a 1-1 score in normal play at Kagaba Parents on December 17.
With Buganda having four slots at the Uganda Cup National round of 64, all four winners in the fourth round of the Buganda Regional preliminaries will progress to the Uganda Cup round of 64.
Last year, Buganda was represented by Young Simba, Seeta United, and All Out. Simba FC and Garuga Stars are chasing to get back to the Uganda Cup round of 64, as they qualified last season.
