2026 Uganda Cup | Wednesday March 18 | R16
- Vipers SC 4-0 Iganga United FC
Vipers SC produced a calm, professional display to beat Iganga United 4-0 under the lights at St Maryโs Stadium, Kitende, sealing a place in the last eight of the Plascon co-sponsored Uganda Cup on Wednesday.
The hosts needed just eight minutes to take control. Hilary Mukundane rose to head in a corner from Yunus Sentamu, giving Vipers an early lead.
Vipers dominated the first half but lacked the finishing touch, heading into the break with only that single goal to show.
The breakthrough in the second half came late but changed everything. Substitute Gusto Mulongo doubled the lead in the 83rd minute after a sharp pass from Karim Watambala.
Two minutes later, Mulongo struck again to put the game beyond doubt.
Mukundane completed the rout in stoppage time, heading in his second goal to cap a dominant evening.
Vipers move into the quarterfinals as they continue their title defence, joining KCCA FC, NEC FC, Kitara FC, and Happy Boys Kagaba.
