2026 Uganda Cup | R32 | Tuesday February 24
- Vipers SC 6-0 Pajule Lions FC
Under the lights at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Vipers SC rediscovered their spark with a ruthless 6-0 win over Pajule Lions to book a place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 Uganda Cup on Tuesday evening.
After back to back draws in the league, the defending champions needed a response. They delivered it early and never eased off.
Karim Watambala struck inside six minutes, meeting Rogers Torach’s long pass and finishing from close range to give Vipers the perfect start. Pajule, a regional side, struggled to settle as the hosts pressed for more.
The second goal arrived in the 20th minute. Usama Arafat reacted quickest after a defensive mix up, firing home as Pajule failed to clear their lines.
Milton Karisa thought he had a third midway through the half after rounding the goalkeeper, but a clearance off the line briefly delayed the inevitable.
Watambala soon grabbed his second in the 33rd minute, finishing sharply after Nicholas Wadada’s effort came back off the woodwork.
Karisa made it 4-0 just before halftime, curling in a free kick that exposed a poorly set wall.
Any hope of a second-half fightback faded seven minutes after the restart. Karisa controlled neatly, beat his marker and blasted in Vipers’ fifth.
Substitute Gusto Mulongo completed the scoring late on, turning in Wadada’s delivery to cap a commanding performance.
Earlier, Kitara FC at the Royal Park through George Senkaaba and Alex Emmanuel Wasswa put two past Entebbe UPPC to join KCCA in the Round of 16.
