The Uganda DanceSport Federation 2024 year calendar kicked off with a capacity-building camp hosted by Nyakasura School, Fort Portal.
Students and teachers from various schools arrived at the host school on Wednesday to participate in the four-day event which is aimed at developing the game in Uganda.
The first day of the camp, yesterday, saw participants do a morning aerobics session to keep the athletes fit and healthy. A teamwork and bonding session took over till the sun went to bed.
Today, the second day of the camp, facilitators have engaged another gear, taking the athletes to a hall for a morning class session.
The topics of study were; the introduction to DanceSport and its disciplines, environmental awareness, and introduction to sports medicine.
The afternoon will be about dancing for the athletes with drills by certified facilitators from the Uganda DanceSport Federation.
All the above mentioned are in line with the theme of the camp, ‘Dance Green Protect The Environment’. The camp’s curtains will go down on Sunday.
