Uganda Emerging secured a thrilling 4-wicket victory over Tanzania U-19 in the fourth game of the Easter Youth Series at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Chasing 205, Uganda Emerging reached the target in just 33 overs after an impressive batting display.
Tanzania U-19, who won the toss, started well with a 67-run opening stand. Captain Dylan Manish Tharkar (44) and Mohammed Simba Mbaki (59) anchored the innings, but Uganda’s spin attack dominated.


Mathew Musinguzi starred with 3 wickets for 13 runs in 10 overs, while Fortunate Alijuna also claimed 3 wickets. Tanzania was eventually bowled out for 204 in 49.5 overs.
Uganda’s chase began shakily, losing captain Fahad Mutagana in the first over. However, opener Charles Musemeza’s brilliant 78 stabilized the innings.
Anas Baig (49) and an unbeaten 47 from Pius Oloka ensured Uganda reached the target comfortably, sealing the win by 4 wickets.
Uganda Emerging now prepares to face Uganda U-19 on Friday, March 7, while Tanzania will meet Uganda U-19 in the final match of the series on Saturday at Lugogo.
