The Uganda Golf Union (UGU) has released its 2026 golf season calendar, with a jam-packed year of tournaments across the country headlined by the highly-anticipated return of the prestigious Uganda Golf Open championship series to Uganda Golf Club in Kampala.
This move marks a return to the capital after last year’s edition was held at Lugazi Hills and Country Club — the first time in history the national open was staged outside the Kampala-Wakiso region.
The full calendar outlines golf action stretching from January through December, showcasing events for all categories — juniors, seniors, ladies, amateurs and professionals — at a variety of venues in Kampala, Entebbe, Kigo, Mbarara, Namulonge, Kabale, Lira, Arua, Tororo, Masindi, Mbale, Jinja and Lugazi.

In addition to the competitive fixtures, the UGU is preparing for its elective assembly, slated for 27th February 2026 in Entebbe, where leadership and strategic direction for the union will be discussed and decided.
