- Police Vs Uganda Prisons – Old Kampala Arena
The Uganda Handball Women’s League wraps up this Saturday, October 25, at the Old Kampala Arena, with champions Police Women set to crown their perfect season against Uganda Prisons in the final match.

For the champions, the game is more of a celebration than a contest.
Police Women have already secured their fifth consecutive title after a flawless run of 17 wins from 17 games, collecting 34 points without a single loss.
“This season has been truly special,” said a team official.
“Finishing unbeaten will be a great honour for the players and the entire Uganda Police Sports fraternity.”
A season of dominance
Police Women have been untouchable this year. They scored 673 goals and conceded just 452, a massive +221 goal difference.

Their consistency and teamwork have defined an era of dominance that began in 2021 and now extends into a fifth straight championship.
Uganda Prisons trail in second with 27 points, followed by Victoria University (24) and UPDF (22).
At the bottom, Wanainchi endured a tough campaign with only 2 points and a -241 goal difference, while Makerere University struggled defensively, conceding 698 goals.
The power behind the badge
The unbeaten run has been fueled by a talented, disciplined squad featuring Akongo Stella, Ondoa Doreen, Namutosi Royce, Nakiryango Margaret, Achayo Beatrice, Achola Lilian, Nakamya Diana, Arago Patricia, and Akinyi Cynthia.

Their blend of speed, experience, and tactical awareness has made Police Women nearly unstoppable.
Men’s League: UPDF in command
In the men’s league, UPDF Handball Club are also enjoying a dominant campaign, topping the table with 15 wins from 15 matches and a +276 goal difference.
Prisons follow closely with 28 points and just one loss, while Police (19 points) and Uzalendo (18) complete the top four. Wanainchi remain winless after 15 games.
A grand finale
As the curtain falls this weekend, both leagues promise an exciting close to a thrilling season.
For Police Women, the final whistle will not just mark another victory, it will celebrate the continuation of a handball dynasty, five titles in a row and still going strong.
