All is set for Uganda to host the 2023 50 over World Cup ICC Challenge League B qualification pathway in Kampala next month.
A total of six nations will take part in the event, due June 14th to 28th, with hosts Uganda keen to maintain top spot in a group that also features Hong Kong, Jersey, Bermuda, Italy and Kenya.
This will be the second round of the tournament, with the first one hosted in Oman in 2019 swept by Uganda.
“We are 70% ready and we believe we will have a successful tournament on and off the wicket, UCA Chairman, Michael Nuwagaba noted.
The games will be played at Lugogo and Kyambogo Cricket Ovals with Entebbe Oval as an emergency option.
With ICC allowing fans to enjoy the games at the said venues, Local Organizing committee head Paul Kaheru promised fans a treat worth their time.
“We are planning to have a fan fare experience like our brothers and sisters in rugby had during the Africa 7s,” Kaheru told Nnalubaale Sports.
