The Uganda Lady Pool Cranes were on Monday crowned the champions of the BlackBall International Ladies’ Hawley Cup in South Africa.
After a 13-11 win over South Africa A in the semifinals, the Lady Pool Cranes took their form to the finals where they met another South African team.
The Lady Pool Cranes proved a handful for their fellow finalists as they beat the side 13-7


Marion Kisakye was one of the sensationals in this competition. On her national team debut, she won a winning frame in the final.
Kenneth Odong in the Individuals category also flew the Ugandan flag high.
The youngster won the competition in the U-23 section after defeating Kumeshen Williams 7-6 in the final.

For his triumph, Odong was rewarded with not only a trophy, but also R25,000 (shs5 million) as prize money.
