The transfer window is edging closer and teams have started to plan ahead of next season.
Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club are in direct talks with Kawempe Muslim goalkeeper Diana Ruth Natukunda.
The shot-stopper completed her Senior Six exams last year and Kawempe have no plans of supporting her education further.
It’s believed that the Martyrs Chief Executive Officer Ivor Sempa Kimbugwe approached Natukunda to join the Kiddawalimes.
In the negotiations, Natukunda tasked the CEO to pay her tuition at the University if she’s to join the side.
The Edward Ssozi-coached side conceded 28 goals in 18 games and finished third in the just-concluded FUFA Women’s Super League.
Martyrs’ first-choice goalkeeper Sharon Kaidu kept only five clean sheets in the entire season as her competitor Brenda Kasana didn’t play a single minute.
Natukunda will have to compete for first place with Kaidu in between the goalposts in case the deal is completed.
