Uganda Martyrs Sack Head Coach And Assistant

Afer 57 days in charge of Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club, Issa Ssempijja and Emmy Kisakye have been sacked as the head coach and assistant respectively.

The two coaches leave the club after only four games in charge where they managed to win one game, registered two draws and lost once.

According to the information reaching this website, the Uganda Martyrs’ bosses were not convinced with the performance of the two coaches and decided to sack them.

At the end of the first round, Uganda Martyrs sits sixth on the log with twelve points, their worst ever first round performance in the FUFA Women Super League.

In just nine games of the first round, the 2023 FUFA Women’s Cup champions have changed the coaches twice.

Rogers Nkugwa and his assistant Rajab Buyinza left the club after five games before Issa Ssempijja and Emmy Kisakye came in only to coach four games and also getting the sack.

The club is now on hunt for new coaches who will replace Ssempijja and Kisakye as they gear up for the return of the second round next month.
