Uganda Martyrs University are on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stage of the University Football League when they visit Kabale University on Tuesday at 3:00PM.
The Nkozi-based side have won all three of their games so far and need to maintain their perfect start in Group A.
A win in Kabale would brighten their chances of making it to the knockout stage.
Despite winning the first leg 3-0 against Kabale, Uganda Martyrs coach Eric Kisuuze is wary of the challenge ahead.
“We’re not taking anything for granted,” he said. “We’re going for the win, and I think that’s the mentality you need.”
However, Kabale University coach Farouk Nsubuga is confident that his side can turn things around.
“Everyone is looking forward to Tuesday,” he said.
“We’ve had performances where we’ve gradually gotten better, and we’ll be going out there to put up a fight and do whatever it takes to get the three points.”
Nsubuga added that his team will need to improve their attacking output in order to get a result.
“The best thing we did last week in the second half was apply pressure and make them come off their line,” he said.
“I expect to see the team continue improving, without the flaws that didn’t let us get the results we wanted.”
