Uganda Athletics has named a 19-member team for the 4th CAA African U18 and U20 Championships, set for July 16–20 in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
The squad, made up of eight male and eleven female athletes, will face off against talent from 42 other countries at one of Africa’s top youth athletics events. Over 900 athletes are expected to compete.
Uganda’s team features sprinters, middle-distance runners, and field athletes, all aiming to make their mark against powerhouses like Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Egypt.
The championships will run alongside the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Congress, bringing added spotlight to the week-long athletics showcase in Abeokuta.
