The Uganda Volleyball Federation has named the national U20 women’s volleyball team for the 2025 Africa U20 Women’s Championship in Yaoundé, Cameroon, set for August 2–12.
The 11-player squad includes familiar names like Najjuuko Claire, Nalua Purity Nekesa, and Zoe Chang, along with promising talents such as Nabatanzzi Mary, Agola Catherine, and Nzunakyi Mercy.
Head coach Waguma Sadat will lead the team, supported by assistants Mariam Nakamanya and Apollo Namanya. International referee Abdallah Kanyago joins the technical team, with Tonny Peter Lakony heading the delegation.
The team will hold its final training session on Thursday, July 31, at Lugogo Indoor Arena at 2:00 PM.
A flag-off ceremony follows on Friday at the National Council of Sports offices. Departure for Cameroon is scheduled for early Saturday morning.
