Following the successful conclusion of the 15 edition of the East Africa Community Inter Parliamentary games, Uganda Parliamentarians stood with dominance scooping 15 gold medals in both teams and Individual events.
At the ceremony held on Tuesday December 16 at Parliament of Uganda doubled as the awarding ceremony and the end of year party
As the 2025 games host, Uganda tallied a total of 30 medals including Gold, Silver and Bronze and further bagged in the Golden Boot in football, the best shooter in Netball and other accolades.
Kenya became Second totaling 11 gold medals while dominating the silver and bronze race of the competition ahead of countries like Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and Tanzania who took no participation but present.
The awarding was overseen by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda as Chief Guest with all East Africa national assemblies represented by Speakers or Deputy Speakers and Honorable Members of the perliaments.
