The Uganda Premier League end-of-the-season awards will return on June 28 at the Kati Kati restaurant with a drive to reward excellent performers.
This will be the second year running that the awards get held, following last season’s glamour.
Vipers, like last season, return as the Champions and will be expected to have some sort of dominance at the individual level.
The categories include Player of the Season, Top Scorer, Most Assists, Midfielder, Defender, Goalkeeper, Coach, Young Player, Players’ Player, Coaches’ Player Fair Play Team, and Best Eleven of the Season.
The UPL will also give out a Platinum Award, which will go to an individual that has hugely contributed to the growth and development of the local league.
The fans will nominate the players starting on Monday, before getting reviewed by a panel that will zero down to the top three selected players.
For the final winner, fans’ votes will carry 44% while the expert panel will take 56%.
