Uganda delivered one of their strongest performances in recent years at the 2025 All Africa Region IV Golf Championship, finishing just two strokes behind rivals Kenya after three intense days at the Golf du Rova Course in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Kenya claimed their fourth straight crown with a total of 642, but Uganda stayed on their heels from start to finish, closing with 644 in a tightly fought 54-hole battle.

Joseph Kasozi (213), Joseph Reagan Akena (215) and Anthony Otukei (216) led Uganda’s charge, keeping the team firmly in contention. Godfrey Kambale (228) rounded off the lineup.

Kenya’s win was anchored by the sharp play of John Lejirma (209), backed by Elvis Muigua (218), Michael Karanga (219) and Junaid Ayaz Manji (221).

Hosts Madagascar took third with 660, spearheaded by Tafitasoa Randriamananjara (221), while Ethiopia finished fourth on 744.
